The Shared Risk Trust FIRCO is a parastatal entity, created by presidential decree and sectorized in the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA), to promote agribusiness, rural development and acting as micro- technical staff in programs of agricultural and fisheries sector.
Risk Sharing The support of programs operated by FIRCO have been based on the concept of risk-sharing, an instrument of government policy, which contributes to the integral development of the rural sector by channeling additional financial resources that minimize the risk involved undertake investments for the strengthening and diversification of production chains. These resources will be recovered without financial cost or participation in profits, to facilitate their recovery investment attached to its success. In the case of resources classified as subsidies, their recovery will benefit the producers.
The "Shared Risk" is a building tool that allows you to channel public, private or mixed, to solve the financial failure of the initial investors and their limitations to access to venture capital or credit required for entrepreneurship and success of their projects.

Activities FIRCO
In 1981, the FIRCO is created to:Support programs to address shortages of commodities, designed to meet national needs;Supporting investments, works or tasks required to achieve the increased productivity of land;Support the adoption of technology and manage the stimuli through it granted the Federal Government. After a period of institutional redesign and reengineering, the FIRCO refocuses its efforts to detonate agribusiness support rural enterprises and producers organizations, in addition to supporting productive activities for the benefit of the environment, with a strong social impact.With a renewed conception of the venture which incorporates the present administration, the agency promotes joint agribusiness and primary production to markets through value added to products to improve the income of producers.
1 .- To operate as a specialized agency of Agribusiness Development and serve as an incubator of companies, becoming a joint agency (public-private) to promote the Agribusiness.
2 .- To promote social and private investment which will bring the markets for goods and services to rural areas and promote the mix of resources and the excellent cooperation between the public and private institutions. Articulating the market for technology services and business development.
3 .- To propose strategies, lines of action and programs for the promotion of Agribusiness, identifying and contributing to transfer production technology, management and marketing of products and services for Agribusiness and their management.
4 .- To contribute to the greater impact of strategic and contingency programs of SAGARPA in which it participates locating those that emphasize the area agribusiness.
5 .- Implement security schemes of risk sharing and incentives to drive adoption of high productivity technologies and implementation of productive projects and contribute to the generation of a system of reimbursement for technical assistance in agribusiness, through a private offering.
6 .- To promote schemes for the recovery of the supports that promote the formation of venture capital funds and investment to enable a self-sustaining rural economic activity and higher managerial.
7 .- Encourage promotion and technological training, organizational, business, commercial and financial support for the promotion of Agribusiness, articulating the various instruments and agents of the production chain. Consumption.
8 .- To contribute to meeting the criteria of directionality, objectivity, transparency and purpose of the programs, particularly in resolving structural problems, increase efficiency and competitiveness of the industry, maximizing the impact of public spending and the best benefit / cost to the producer.
